When I
think of all my gifts
I realize I have but one,
the wondrous Father, Holy Ghost,
and His Righteous Son.
Although it seems like its counted
three
I know they are the same.
Just like a Childs favorite toy
that's blessed with many a name.
And if I were a child,
the age of only three
I suppose I'd like to sit
upon my father's knee.
He would tell me stories
about places long ago,
and share with me the knowledge
that children would like to know.
And if I were an elder
the age of eighty-four
I suppose I'd like to walk with him
across his garden floor.
I would listen to his tender voice
and all he had to say,
because I know if I got lost somehow,
His words would lead the way.
And when I think
of all the things I could of had
I think of the one who has never left
who always makes me glad.
Sometimes it feels
that he is so far away
but he makes me found when I am lost
or bounding to astray.
So think of all the gifts you have
choose one and leave the rest,
and you will find the one you choose is three
and of course the very best.
